Thanks to Priscilla for bringing my attention to my former Journalism school classmate and friend Steve Faguy’s latest post.
Not that the man requires links from me, being the hotshot celebrity blogger and bona fide journalist that he is. But for those of you who knew that I was somewhat miserable while living in Montréal (often for more than just personal reasons, which were plenty that year), this opinion piece summarizes my discomfort nicely.
Speaking as an anglophone with only passable conversational French: Québec is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there (again).

After living here for ten years, I can say that 9 times out of ten everything in Montreal in great - just don’t expect to come across the sovereigntist militant goons without not wanting to bitch slap them with some rhetoric to make them feel unconfortable.
